At organic●ally™ we found it difficult not to notice how wasteful it is to use some beautifully printed wrapping paper just once.
Paper requires trees. Deforestation is now said to be a major cause of global warming. True, some wrapping paper is made from recycled paper, but still the printing process requires a lot of chemicals and their residues are washed into the water systems. Wrapping paper is often not recyclable especially if there is any metallic content in it. So between felling trees and poisoning the waterways, is it really worth using printed paper just once?
