organic●ally™ believes that our skin should be lovingly cared for. Siew-Peng stopped using make-up since the birth of her child ("Where got time?" as we say in Singlish. That's Singapore English) except for very special occasions. She thinks that the long-term effect of make-up remover on skin is far worse than what make-up itself can do temporarily to enhance one's features.
She might well be wrong on this and there are now lots of skincare and make-up products out there which have been designed to be much kinder to the human skin (as well as to animals) compared to those days when she was wearing a lot of make-up.
We do want to share how Siew-Peng's mum used to clean out the remnants of raw egg-shells and slaps them on her cheeks. She did the same with the soft tofu that was commonly used in cooking in Singapore. So she had these 'freebie face masks while preparing dinner.
What about the detergents we use to wash our clothes with? Have you considered the impact of optical enhancers in soap powders? Siew-Peng's problem with her 'random rash' has not been resolved. The doctors haven't a clue why she gets red itchy weals all over her body, and then they disappear after twenty minutes or so.
She's still in the process of switching completely to an organic wardrobe. But it's often difficult to buy clothes off-the-peg when you are petitie in a country with lots of big(ger) people. (See "Clothes and Bedding")
Reusable Sanitary Protection (sanpro)

Washable/Reusable Menstrual Pads
Hankettes Unlike most other versions available on the market, there is no PUL plastic backing in the pads. The only bits of plastic are attached to the press-stud. Removing these before disposal at the end of its life will be easier than most other pads.
