organic●ally™ began when Siew-Peng sought to find child-size handkerchiefs to fit inside her son's little pockets. Fed up with shredded tissue paper ruining her wash, cloth hankies seemed the obvious alternative.

But were there small enough cloth hankies in non-feminine designs to be found for a boy?

She was about to get in touch with handkerchief manufacturers in India and China when she stumbled across information on how cotton growing was wreaking havoc on the earth. Not only are huge amounts of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides used in conventional cotton agriculture, small farmers (especially in India) conned into buying GM seed and using pesticides to (mis?)manage their crops are committing suicide due to the debts they run up, using a form of agriculture totally unsuitable to their smallhold farms.

From an environmental and human point of view, it was clear that ordinary cotton hankies will not do.

Then she found Hankettes, some very nice people in Canada and the first to make organic cotton hankies that pop out of a box, just like in a paper tissue box.

And so organic●ally™ began.
